«The Dialogue of Cultures» Forum opened in St. Petersburg

Its participants include photographers, podcast station authors, media artists, motion designers, and filmmakers between the ages of 18 and 35.
The XVIII Media-Forum «Dialogue of Cultures» has started at the Hermitage Theatre. It brought together about 300 young journalists and bloggers from all over the world.

Among the participants of the large–scale media event are photographers, podcast station authors, media artists, motion designers and directors aged 18 to 35 years. The organizers note that these are the most active and talented media representatives from different countries of Eurasia and around the world.

Vladimir Ryabovol, Chairman of the press and media relations Committee read out a welcoming speech from the Governor of St. Petersburg. In his speech the Head noted that such forum is an opportunity to resist fakes and develop a constructive dialogue between countries and peoples.

The program of the forum is filled with master classes, discussions and meetings with famous Russian journalists. On May 23, the largest multimedia exhibition of visual projects by 50 young Eurasian authors will open at the General Staff Building.

For the first time this year more than 100 Russian and foreign participants will visit Veliky Novgorod, the Tchaikovsky House Museum in Tver and the family estate of writer Leo Tolstoy, where participants will create journalistic materials about Russia and its cultural heritage participants.

Также в рамках форума проходят съемки международного проекта «Санкт-Петербург. Жизнь в городе». Героями новой документальной картины режиссера Ашота Джазояна станут известные деятели культуры и искусства, рабочие Кировского завода, студенты учебных заведений. Фильм создается продюсерским центром «4 Формата» при поддержке газеты «Петербургский дневник».


Within the framework of the forum, International project «St. Petersburg. Life in the city» is being filmed. The heroes of the new documentary film directed by Ashot Dzhazoyan will be famous figures of culture and art, workers of the Kirov factory, students of educational institutions. The film is being created by the production center «4 Formats» with the support of the newspaper «Petersburg Diary».
